Syrian soldier killed in attack in Idlib de-escalation area - Reconciliation Center

HMEIMIM, Syria. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria has reported the death of a Syrian serviceman in an attack in the Idlib de-escalation area on Sunday.

"A Syrian army serviceman was killed by a sniper shot fired by terrorists from the area of Sfuhon at government positions near Mellanja in the Idlib province," Reconciliation Center deputy head Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said at a press briefing.

Ten attacks coming from positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra (Jabhat Fatah ash-Sham) terrorist group, banned in Russia, were observed in the Idlib de-escalation area over the past day. There were six attacks in the Idlib province, three in the Aleppo province, and one in the Latakia province in the reporting period.
