MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The next meeting of the Extended Troika (the United States, Russia, China, and Pakistan) on the Afghan settlement process is due to take place in Islamabad in the second half of November, and the United States has confirmed its intention to attend, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Second Asian Department and Special Presidential Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said.
"Pakistani colleagues have put forward an initiative to hold a meeting of the Extended Troika in Islamabad in the second half of November. The new U.S. special representative has written to me saying that he expects a date to be set, which means the United States will attend the meeting," Kabulov said at a virtual press briefing on Monday.
He said the meeting would discuss how to start working on Afghanistan's reconstruction together with the United Nations.
