Another shipment of humanitarian aid to be sent to Afghanistan within days - Russian envoy

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Another operation to deliver humanitarian aid to Afghanistan will be carried out within the next few days, Russian presidential envoy for Afghanistan and Director of the Foreign Ministry's Second Asian Department Zamir Kabulov said.

"In line with the president's directives, another humanitarian operation is being prepared to provide urgent aid to the Afghan people," Kabulov said at a press conference in Moscow on Monday.

"The Russian Defense Ministry and the Emergency Situations Ministry are preparing such transport aviation flights, and this work is in full swing, but there are quite a few logistical issues here," he said.

"I'm not in a position to tell you the exact date [...], but it's my impression that it's going to happen within the next few days," Kabulov said.
