MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Germany's military attache was summoned to the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday to discuss the German military leadership's statements on containing Russia, a protest note was handed to him, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"During the meeting, attention was drawn to German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer's statements on the nuclear deterrence of Russia and a protest note was handed over. It was noted that such statements provoke tension in Europe and do not contribute to the normalization of the situation," the Defense Ministry said.
The military attache of the German embassy to Russia was invited to the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation of the Russian Defense Ministry, the ministry said.
