LUHANSK/DONETSK. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have intensified attacks upon the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), LPR head Leonid Pasechnik said.
"Using artillery, Kyiv laid down heavy fire upon the LPR's frontline settlements today," Pasechnik wrote on Twitter.
A residential house was fired upon and damaged in the village of Pryshyb in the Slovyanoserbsk district, he said.
The emergency situations ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said on Tuesday that its fire and rescue unit in the community of Holmivsky in the city of Horlivka was shelled with artillery systems by Ukrainian forces.
At the moment of the incident, there were four officers on duty at the unit, "who managed to hide in the unit's basement," it said.
