LPR accuses Kyiv of violating Minsk Agreements by using Bayraktar drone in Donbas

LUHANSK. Oct 27 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has accused the Ukrainian army of violating the Minsk Agreements by using a Turkish Bayraktar drone in Donbas.

By using military unmanned aerial vehicles in Donbas, the Ukrainian army command "violates a provision of the Minsk memorandum that bans flights of combat aircraft and foreign UAVs along the contact line," LPR representative in the political working group of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine (TCG) Rodion Miroshnik told Interfax on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian army command reported the use of Bayraktar combat drones in the Donbas conflict zone and thus admitted a breach of the Minsk Agreements, he said.

The headquarters of the Ukrainian Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Donbas said on Tuesday that the Ukrainian army had used a Bayraktar reconnaissance and attack drone in the JFO area for the first time.

Bayraktar TB2 is a medium-altitude long-endurance tactical unmanned aerial vehicle designed and manufactured by the Turkish company Baykar Makina.
