Militiamen in Donbas already know how to suppress Ukraine's Bayraktar drones - Duma Defense Committee head

MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov believes that the use of Bayraktar drones by the Ukrainian military will further escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

"The use of the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicle by the Ukrainian military in Donbas, which has been announced by the Ukrainian General Staff, is leading to further escalation of the conflict inside Ukraine," Kartapolov told Interfax on Wednesday.

At the same time, "the DPR and the LPR [the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics] have already gained some experience in combating drones," he said

"According to the experience of combat operations in other regions of the world, there are appropriate means that can significantly reduce or negate the capabilities of this machine," Kartapolov said.

"I am sure that the militiamen have already thought of something," he said.

In Kartapolov's opinion, the Ukrainian leadership, "through such actions, once again demonstrates its reluctance to comply with the Minsk Agreements."
