U.S. Commerce Dept adds Russia's Positive Technologies IT company to restricted entity list

WASHINGTON. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The United States Department of Commerce has added the Russian IT company Positive Technologies and three other companies to the list of entities subject to export restrictions in connection with their activities detrimental to U.S. security.

"Positive Technologies (Russia), and Computer Security Initiative Consultancy PTE. LTD. (Singapore) were added to the Entity List based on a determination that they traffic in cyber tools used to gain unauthorized access to information systems, threatening the privacy and security of individuals and organizations worldwide," the U.S. Department of Commerce said in a statement.
