YEREVAN. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The actions undertaken by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh discredit the Russian peacekeepers, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Public Television Company of Armenia on Sunday evening.
"The actions undertaken by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh discredit the activity of the Russian peacekeepers," Pashinyan said.
He described Azerbaijani statements, according to which Armenia does not respond to peace offers, as strange.
"First of all, offers of peace are not Azerbaijan's monopoly. We have made such proposals ourselves. The statements of Azerbaijan are strange. Armenia has expressed the readiness for peace and has underlined that peace is the goal of the negotiating process conducted within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. We are ready for such discussions, they should be held in the OSCE Minsk Group format with consideration of a settlement of the Karabakh conflict," Pashinyan said.
The possible delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is unrelated to a settlement of the Karabakh conflict and the opening of regional transport communications, he said.
"I have expressed my readiness to sign a document on the border delimitation and demarcation proposed by Russia. But it's hard to imagine this process, considering daily breaches of ceasefire on the border. It is necessary to create proper conditions for the process," Pashinyan said.
