Minsk taking necessary security measures over migrant situation - Peskov

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - The Kremlin does not doubt that the Belarusian authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure the security of Russia and Belarus in connection with the migrant situation on the Polish-Belarusian border, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We have no doubt here that the Belarusian migration services are taking all necessary measures to keep the situation in the legal field," Peskov said in response to a question from journalists.

"We have no doubt that safety considerations and possible concerns that these migrants might flow into our territory as well are being taken into account," he said.

Peskov also admitted that "the situation isn't easy." "Measures are being taken, but the situation undoubtedly isn't easy. And of course, the Belarusian authorities bear a heavy burden," he said.
