Another 500 refugees from Donbas arrive in Kursk by train

KURSK. Feb 21 (Interfax) - Over 500 refugees from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics arrived in Kursk by train on Monday morning, the regional branch of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said.

"The second train carrying refugees from the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics has arrived in Kursk. There were 525 people on the train," the agency said.

The first train carrying about 1,000 evacuees from Donbas arrived in Kursk on Sunday evening.

The region has opened 20 shelters for the evacuees on the premises of health resorts, hotels, children's camps and other social sites.

The Kursk regional authorities declared a state of emergency amid the arrival of a large number of refugees from Donbas.
