Two LPR villages near frontline facing blackout as impossible to fix damaged power line

LUHANSK. Feb 21 (Interfax) - The villages of Donetskiy and Holubivske located in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) near the frontline have remained without electricity for the second day in a row after a high voltage transmission line was damaged in strike by the Ukrainian army, head of the administration of the LPR-controlled town of Kirovsk Viktoria Sergeyeva told reporters on Monday.

"The line supplying electricity to the villages of Donetskiy and Holubivske was hit in a strike. More than 1,000 consumers have remained without electricity for the second consecutive day," Sergeyeva said.

"Fire should cease for a certain period of time" in order to be able to repair the power line, but, "naturally, no one is giving it to us," she said.
