Putin signs agreements on friendship, mutual assistance with LPR, DPR

MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed agreements on friendship and mutual assistance with the heads of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) at a ceremony at the Kremlin.

The Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television channel broadcast the ceremony from the Kremlin. The heads of the republics recognized by Russia, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, took part in the ceremony.

"I congratulate you," Putin said at the end of the signing ceremony.

According to the Kremlin website, Putin talked to Pushilin and Pasechnik after the ceremony.
