DPR head seeing no desire from Kyiv to cease attempts to take Donbas by force

DONETSK. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Donetsk has seen no steps on the part of Kyiv to cease its attempts to take the region of Donbas by force following the recognition of the Donbas republics by Moscow, Donetsk People's Republic head Denis Pushilin said.

"Following the recognition [of the independence of the Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic by Russia], we're not seeing any such steps on the part of Ukraine that would suggest that they won't try to take Donbas by force," Pushilin said on the Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television on Tuesday.

Pushilin also did not rule out that the DPR could ask Russia for military assistance.
