Kazakhstan to minimize risks over Ukraine situation - Tokayev

NUR-SULTAN. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held an emergency Security Council meeting to discuss national socio-economic issues in relation to the situation around Ukraine.

"Tokayev noted the need to urgently adopt an anti-crisis plan to react promptly to any negative consequences resulting from the inevitable deterioration of the international situation as a result of the military-political and sanctions-related standoff," the president's press service stated after the meeting on Tuesday.

"The head of state issued specific instructions to minimize potential economic, and other, risks to our country."
