MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Russia is conducting an exercise involving a tank regiment in the Kaliningrad region, the Baltic Fleet said on Tuesday.
"Over 120 troops and over 30 items of combat and special hardware are involved in the combat training event," it said.
Units of a tank regiment of the Baltic Fleet's Army Corps have started a planned field exercise and are practicing at a range in the Kaliningrad region, it said.
"The tankmen are practicing various warfare methods, such as tank duels and ambushes. The crews are conducting battlefield maneuvers both individually and within formations, including flanking and cutting behind the simulated enemy, as well as raid activities," it said.
Involved in the drills are T-72B3 and T-72B3M tanks, it said.
