Putin, Aliyev sign declaration on allied cooperation

MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a declaration on allied cooperation following talks in Moscow on Tuesday.

Earlier Putin said that the signature of this document would become a new stage in the development of bilateral relations.

In turn, Aliyev said that the declaration would be of positive significance for Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as for regional security.

The document consists of more than 40 clauses and covers the most important areas of bilateral cooperation, he said.
