LUHANSK. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has called on Ukrainian troops to lay down arms to abandon their position in Donbas.
"I call on servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to lay down arms, to abandon positions and not to fulfill criminal orders of the Kyiv authorities. This is the only way to ensure decent life in a free state," spokesman of the LPR People's Militia Ivan Filiponenko said in a statement on Thursday.
Earlier, Filiponenko reported the beginning of an operation to liberate the LPR territory.
