DPR, LPR forces start counteroffensive with Russian army's fire support - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The militias of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) have started a counteroffensive with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces after repelling the Ukrainian Armed Forces' aggression, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Thursday.

"This morning, the people's militias of the DPR and LPR, following lengthy battles to repel the Ukrainian Armed Forces' aggression against the republics, conducted a mobilization and put together groups of troops. At the present time, they have started a counteroffensive with fire support of the Russian Armed Forces," Konashenkov said.
