KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax) - More than 120,000 people crossed the Western border of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.
"A total of 110,000 citizens crossed the border from Ukraine, including some 90,000 Ukrainians. The biggest passenger flow is on the Polish site, 68,000 people over the past 24 hours," according to a report published on Facebook.
Border guards and their colleagues from neighboring countries are doing all they can to speed up border control procedures, the report said. Border control has been facilitated to the maximum in particular for women and children. As such, the list of documents they are required to have when leaving the country is minimized.
Border control for pedestrians is ensured at practically all checkpoints. Two additional checkpoints have started working on the Hungarian border.
"At the same time, there is an exit restriction on men aged 18-60 who are citizens of Ukraine during the period of martial law," border guards said.
