Ukraine's irretrievable combat losses exceed 14,000 personnel - Russian general staff (Part 2)

MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - The irretrievable losses of Ukraine's army and National Guard exceed 14,000 personnel, while wounded amount to around 16,000, the head of the Main operational directorate of the Russian General Staff, Sergei Rudskoi, said.

"At the start of the special military operation the Ukrainian armed forces and National Guard numbered 260,200 servicemen between them. Over the month of fighting their losses ran to about 30,000 personnel, including over 14,000 killed and around 16,000 wounded," Rudskoi told a briefing on Friday.

"Substantial losses were incurred by all 24 units of ground troops which existed prior to the operation.

"Ukraine has no organized reserves left. The losses are being offset with mobilized persons and territorial-defense personnel who lack the necessary skills, thus heightening the risk of big losses," he said.
