YEREVAN. April 1 (Interfax) - Yerevan hopes that the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group will be able to arrange negotiations with Azerbaijan to conclude a peace agreement, Armenian Foreign Ministry Ararat Mirzoyan said.
"We expect that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will remain on the OSCE agenda, despite the events in Ukraine, on which the organization has primarily focused its attention now. We expect that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship will be able to arrange peace negotiations aimed at concluding a peace agreement with Azerbaijan," Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau in Yerevan.
Rau said he is concerned about the tense situation in the region.
The OSCE chairmanship is firmly supporting all initiatives to facilitate a dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is extremely important for a de-escalation, Rau said.
The OSCE urges Armenia and Azerbaijan to start negotiations and reach a comprehensive solution to all existing problems, Rau said.
