MUSCAT. May 11 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian authorities have blocked dozens of vessels carrying wheat in their ports and are refusing to cooperate in letting the ships pass through humanitarian corridors, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.
"The Kyiv authorities are not allowing dozens of ships, including vessels that are supposed to bring wheat to various parts of the world, to leave their ports. They have even mined exits from the ports, which makes the departure of these ships impossible," Lavrov said at a press conference in Muscat.
Russia "has repeatedly proposed that humanitarian corridors be arranged for the departure of these ships," he said.
"Yet the Ukrainian side has been uncooperative, and its Western masters have not reacted to that in any way," Lavrov said.
