Yaroslav Mudry ship conducts artillery firing during exercise in Baltic Sea

MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - The guard ship Yaroslav Mudry has conducted artillery firing at air and sea targets during an exercise in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Baltic Fleet press service said on Wednesday.

"The guard ship Yaroslav Mudry conducted a number of routine ship exercises in the sea training area of the Baltic Sea, practicing sea training elements, artillery training and protection of the ship while repelling air strikes made by a mock enemy," the report said.

The ship conducted in total more than ten combat exercises with practical artillery firing as part of a training exercise simulating an artillery battle with a mock enemy's surface ship, the report said.

"The ship also conducted exercises involving the creation of radio-electronic interference, conducted a ship damage control exercise, an exercise involving passing through narrow places and navigation in a situation of limited visibility, and also conducted some anti-sabotage events," the Baltic Fleet said.
