SIMFEROPOL. June 24 (Interfax) - The head of the Kherson regional administration's department for youth policy, family and sports was reportedly killed when his vehicle exploded, the interim regional administration told Interfax on Friday.
"According to the preliminary information, it was the director of the Kherson regional administration's department for youth policy, family and sports. The preliminary reports say he is dead. The bomb was planted on his vehicle," the administration representative said.
Details of the incident are being clarified.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Currently, Russian forces are fully in control of the Kherson region.
