MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces shot down two Ukrainian combat planes near Mykolaiv and Kharkiv over the past day, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.
"Russian air defense systems destroyed two [Sukhoi] Su-25 planes near Dolhenke in the Kharkiv region and Vysokopillia in the Mykolaiv region in the past day," Konashenkov said.
Apart from that, five Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were also shot down in mid-air over the past day, he said.
"A total of 213 [Ukrainian] combat planes, 132 helicopters, 1,334 unmanned aerial vehicles, 350 anti-aircraft systems, 3,769 tanks and other armored military vehicles, 659 multiple launch rocket systems, 3,002 field artillery weapons and mortars, and 3,835 specialized military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
