MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - Moscow's Basmanny District Court has suspended hearings due to the evacuation of visitors and staff, the court press service told Interfax.
"The court was evacuated due to an alleged bomb threat," the court said.
In the meantime, Moscow's Basmanny District Court is expected to decide on restrictive measures for employees of the Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region who were earlier detained in connection with an abuse of office case. Among the detainees is Sergei Umnov, an aide to the Russian interior minister, Alexei Semenov, the head of the Interior Ministry's Main Traffic Police Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, and Ivan Abakumov, former deputy head of the Interior Ministry's Main Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
The detainees have not been brought to the court building yet, the court told the agency.
