MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of nine Ukrainian army command centers, including in Mykolaiv, Bakhmut (formerly known as Artemivsk), and Kramatorsk, over the past 24 hours.
"Nine command centers have been struck over the past 24 hours, including those of the 59th Marine Brigade in Mykolaiv, where foreign mercenaries were stationed, the 14th Mechanized Brigade near Artemivsk, and an SBU [Ukrainian Security Service] headquarters in Kramatorsk," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
Russian forces also destroyed six depots storing missiles and artillery ammunition near Kostyantynivka and Fedoriovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Maliyivka in the Denipropetrovsk region, and Mykolaiv, he said.
"As part of counter-battery warfare, a battery of Uragan multiple rocket launchers and a battery of Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers with a counter-battery radar station have been struck near Zarozhne in the Kharkiv region, and eight Ukrainian platoons of Grad multiple rocket launchers in Zvanivka, Kirove, Soledar, Krasne, and Platonivka of the Donetsk People's Republic, near Dobropillya in the Zaporizhzhya region, as well as in Shyroke, in the Mykolaiv region," Konashenkov said.
In addition, nine artillery platoons of D-20 howitzers and seven platoons of D-30 howitzers have been struck in the DPR and in the Zaporizhzhya and Mykolaiv regions, he said.
