MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - A separate armored regiment of the army corps of Russia's Baltic Fleet have fired live ammunition against mock enemy troops in an exercise in the Kaliningrad region, the Baltic Fleet said in a statement on Thursday.
"The firing was carried out with PKT tank-mounted machine-guns against targets imitating forces, operators of anti-tank grenade launchers and other firing weapons of a mock enemy located within a distance of 500 to 1,800 meters," it said.
The tanks crews also completed assignments in loading ammunition, moving a tank from traveling position into armed position, reconnaissance and target detection, it said.
This is a scheduled exercise, it said.
