BELGOROD. Aug 18 (Interfax) - An ammunition depot is on fire near the village of Timonovo, Valuiki urban district, Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"An ammunition depot caught fire near the village of Timonovo, Valuiki urban district. According to the latest data, there are no casualties, no victims. The head of the district is taking residents of the villages of Timonovo and Soloti to a safe distance. Emergency services are working at the scene and are looking into the cause of the fire," the regional governor said on Telegram.
As previously reported, an ammunition depot in the village of Staraya Nelidovka, which is situated in the Belgorod district of the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, was ablaze on April 27. No civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings and houses were reported.
Villages in the Belgorod region located near the Ukrainian border have repeatedly come under attack from the side of Ukraine since February 24. For this reason, a yellow (high) level of terrorist alert was put in place in the region.
