Kremlin views Ukrainian draft of security guarantees as threat to Russia, deems continuation of special military operation to be necessary

MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax) - Kyiv's draft of security guarantees makes the Russian special military operation even more relevant, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"This is about a certain document, and no one is denying that they are planning this document for the period until Ukraine's admission to NATO. This means that membership in NATO remains an objective. Therefore, the main threat to our country persists. A reason, which made the special military operation necessary, also persists and even becomes more relevant," Peskov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
