Nord Stream incidents require active Russian-U.S. cooperation - Peskov

MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax) - Russia and the United States do not have substantive contacts between security agencies, yet cooperation in the investigation of the Nord Stream incidents is necessary, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"It's impossible to answer this question, as we have no substantive contacts or cooperation between our security agencies. At the same time, the unprecedented nature of this event - which seems to be some kind of a terror attack, probably, at the state level - clearly requires very active, energetic cooperation," Peskov said at a press briefing.

He thus answered a question whether Russia and the United States could cooperate in the investigation of the Nord Stream incidents in the current situation.
