Russian Defense Ministry reports strikes upon Ukrainian forces in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Donetsk theaters

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The Russian army has delivered strikes upon Ukrainian armed forces positions in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Artemivsk (Bakhmut), and Donetsk theaters, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.

"Over 140 service members were killed and 19 special military vehicles were destroyed as missiles were fired upon concentrations of personnel and military equipment of the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk theater near Kupyansk, Dvorichna, and Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region. In all, the enemy has lost over 500 troops and about 60 pieces of military equipment in the Kupyansk theater over the past three days of fighting," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.

"A massive missile strike was delivered upon the enemy's reserves and units of the 66th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Slovyansk in the Krasny Lyman theater," he said.

"Up to 100 troops were killed and six armored vehicles and two Grad MLRS vehicles were destroyed over the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.

"The 66th and 93rd Mechanized Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 900 Ukrainian troops in this theater over the past three days of fighting," he said.

Over 260 troops were killed and 14 pieces of military equipment were destroyed by a missile strike upon concentrations of personnel and military equipment of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kalynivka in the Artemivsk (Bakhmut) theater, he said.

"In the Donetsk theater, over 100 Ukrainian service members of the 21st Battalion of the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed as the allied troops repelled the enemy's attempt to advance near Pervomaiske," Konashenkov said.
