Russian army holding ground in Andreyevka-Krivoi Rog theater - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Russian army units are holding ground in the Andreyevka-Krivoi Rog theater of operations, repelling attacks by the enemy's superior forces, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"In the Andreyevka-Krivoi Rog theater, Russian army units are holding their positions, repelling attacks by the enemy's superior forces. During combat actions near Novaya Kamenka in the Kherson region, up to 30 nationalists have been killed and two tanks and four infantry fighting vehicles destroyed over the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces' massive strikes upon units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 35th Marine Brigade near Davydov Brod and the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade near Dudchany in the Kherson region have resulted in the killing of over 120 service members and the destruction of two tanks and eight armored fighting vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," he said.

"The enemy's losses in the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog theater in the past 24 hours have totaled over 230 troops, four tanks, 18 armored fighting vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, two mortars, and 20 automobiles," he said.
