MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) - An artillery regiment of over 1,000 mobilized troops formed at the Pesochnoye range has been deployed to the special military operation's rear from the Kostroma region, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
"All the deployed servicemen underwent daily ten-hour military training at ranges of the NBC Protection Military Academy and the Airborne Forces in the Kostroma region since the day of their mobilization. Many of them had respective military skills and experience of local conflicts before they were mobilized," the ministry said.
The troops were trained with due account of the specifics of the special military operation, it said.
"The troops received theoretical and practical training in firing and tactics, alongside special, topographic, tactical medical, radiation, chemical and biological protection and technical training, and were taught how to operate weapon systems and military hardware," the statement said.
They are fully equipped with uniforms, body armor, chemical protection equipment, and weapons, the ministry said. "All mobilized servicemen are regularly paid salaries and social benefits," it said.
