Sarmat missiles to be put on combat duty in near future - Putin

MOSCOW. Dec 21 (Interfax) - Sarmat ICBMs will be put on combat duty in the near future despite some deviation from the schedule, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles will be put on combat duty for the first time in the near future," he said at a Defense Ministry board meeting.

"We know there is some movement to the right there. It does not change our plans. Everything will be implemented," the president said.
