Armenia not planning to change foreign policy course toward West - parliamentary speaker

YEREVAN. Jan 23 (Interfax) - Armenia is not mulling a change of its foreign policy course, although it will consider all possible methods to ensure its territorial security, parliamentary speaker Alen Simonyan said.

"There's no question of changing our foreign policy course. There is a question of ensuring our security," Simonyan said when asked whether Armenia intends to change its foreign policy course toward the West.

Armenia "will use all methods" to ensure its territorial security, as "the existing ways cannot satisfy us," he said.

Armenia and Russia are strategic allies, and the 102nd Russian Military Base is stationed in Armenia.
