MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Moscow calls for continuing a professional dialogue on Iran's problems, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Monday.
Last week the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) notified Iran that some changes made to the Fordow nuclear facility were inconsistent with Tehran's commitments. Iran described that information as inaccurate and said the issue had been settled.
"There have been numerous situations assuming a kind of sensational nature over years. We've seen more than once how our Western counterparts blew some events out of proportion while, generally speaking, they required a thorough discussion in a professional manner. Again, we always manifest our concerns about instances in which some information and documents not intended for public use and whose circulation is limited are immediately leaked into the public domain and made newsworthy," Ryabkov said in commenting on these reports at Interfax's request.
"The IAEA cannot work this way, this is politicization on the West's part. There are no reasons to depart from a normal professional course in this situation, either. Bearing this in mind, we'll also see what happens and what may happen in terms of positions taken by representatives of various countries," he said.
