Russian Defense Ministry: Kharkov plant workshops used to upgrade UAVs, kamikaze drones destroyed

MOSCOW. Feb 8 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of workshops of an aircraft plant in Kharkov where unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including kamikaze drones, were upgraded.

"Workshops of an aircraft industry enterprise upgrading unmanned aerial vehicles and loitering munitions were destroyed in the city of Kharkov," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

A total of 382 military planes, 206 helicopters, 3,046 unmanned aerial vehicles, 403 anti-aircraft missile systems, 7,789 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, and 1,011 multiple launch rocket systems have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov said.
