MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has commented on U.S. President Joe Biden's address to the Congress, noting that Washington remains hostile towards Russia.
Journalists asked Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday to comment on the address, indicating that Biden put China first amongst US foreign political challenges and said that Washington would keep supporting Kiev.
"Truth be told, this is not the first time the priorities are set this way in conceptual strategic doctrinal documents. Not just Biden but also other members of the U.S. establishment have set the priorities in this order. Still, of course, it is important to us that the United States continues to demonstrate a hostile attitude towards our country. The U.S. sees us as an adversary and affirms its political will to continue its involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine," Peskov said.
According to him, the United States does not recognize Russia's lawful concerns, thus "provoking further escalation" of the conflict.
