Rosatom CEO, IAEA head discussing security zone around Zaporozhye NPP in Moscow

MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Alexei Likhachyov, general director of the Russian state atomic energy corporation Rosatom, and Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), are holding negotiations in Moscow focused on setting up a safety and security zone around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, Rosatom's corporate publication Strana Rosatom said on Telegram on Thursday.

"Negotiations between Rosatom General Director Alexei Likhachyov and IAEA head Rafael Grossi have started in Moscow. The main subject is the establishment of a safety and security zone around the Zaporozhye NPP." It said.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said earlier Grossi would be visiting Moscow on February 9-10.
