MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has declined to comment on Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk's statement that former Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko asked him to convey an offer of taking Donbass to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I will leave this without comment," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"The way the Kiev regime was treating the Donbass republics over eight years proves that no other regime would have treated territories it needed in such a manner," Peskov said.
"No regime would have done what can rightly be called genocide, no regime would have shelled its territories, its population with heavy artillery," he said.
