MOSCOW. Feb 15 (Interfax) - Russian forces have reported the elimination of eight reconnaissance-and-sabotage groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region and the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR).
"Eight reconnaissance-and-sabotage groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was eliminated near Krakhmalnoye, Masyutovka, Pershotravnevoye and Timkovka in the Kharkov region and Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People's Republic," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Wednesday.
An ammo depot of the 113th territorial defense brigade was destroyed in the vicinity of Veterinarnoye in the Kharkov region, he said.
"In the Kupyansk sector, army air force strikes and artillery strikes delivered by the western group of forces hit a concentration of troops and hardware of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 103rd territorial defense brigade near Dvurechnaya and Kotlayrovka in the Kharkov region," Konashenkov said.
Up to 100 Ukrainian troops were killed or wounded and two armored fighting vehicles, four other vehicles and one D-30 howitzer of the Ukrainian army were destroyed in this sector in the past day, he said.
