Court fines blogger Savin 50,000 rubles for discrediting Russian Armed Forces

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Moscow's Tverskoi District Court has imposed an administrative fine of 50,000 rubles on blogger and retired football player Yevgeny Savin, also known as "KrasaVa", for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, the court's press service told Interfax.

"Savin was sentenced to an administrative fine of 50,000 rubles," the press service said on Friday.

Savin was found guilty of committing public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces. He was given the highest possible punishment envisaged for citizens for this offense.

It emerged in May 2022 that Savin had left the country. He explained this decision by his social stance.
