YEREVAN. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar have discussed normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations at a meeting in Yerevan.
"Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the EU civilian mission in Amenia, which would contribute to stability and peace in the region. The parties discussed the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh which occurred as a result of Azerbaijan's unlawful blocking of the Lachin corridor," the press service for the Armenian government said on Friday.
Pashinyan and Klaar exchanged views on the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In addition, the Armenian premier commended cooperation between Armenia and the EU and "pointed out with satisfaction to the institutional reforms ongoing in Armenia with the EU's support."
