MOSCOW. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The achievement of the special military operation's goals is Russia's priority, while no one can guarantee Ukraine's readiness for peace talks for now, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"In this case, the main thing is the achievement of our goals [in the course of the special military operation], this is our absolute priority," Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
As to whether this is a good time for peace talks with Ukraine, Peskov said, "For now, truth be told, I do not think that anyone can see any messages coming from the Ukrainian side. For now, we proceed from the premise of the de jure incapability of the Ukrainian side to hold any negotiations. This is what we proceed from," he said.
