MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee is probing the Ukrainian attempts to attack a number of sites in Russian regions by unmanned aerial vehicles, the committee said on Telegram on Tuesday.

"The Russian Investigative Committee chairman has ordered that the criminal inquiries establish every detail of the Ukrainian attempt at using unmanned aerial vehicles to attack civilian and engineering infrastructure facilities in the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea," the committee said.

The Ukrainian authorities tried to attack civilian and engineering infrastructure facilities in the Krasnodar Territory and Adygea on February 28, the committee said, with the reference to the Russian Defense Ministry.

"As a result of measures taken by special units of the Russian Armed Forces, the drones lost control and deviated from their flight trajectory," the committee said.

Besides, "a drone fell in the area of Kolomna, Moscow region," it said.

"The agency's investigators and forensic experts are at work at the site where drone fragments were found," the committee said. The criminal inquiries will establish "the circumstances of the incident give legal assessment to actions of every person involved," it said.
