"Three types of planes and about 100 troops took part in a tactical exercise of the Central Military District's transport aviation. An-12, An-26 and Tu-134 crews trained piloting in adverse weather and landing by radio beacon," the press service said.
Landing on a "damaged" runway with a shorter braking distance and taxiing in a confined space was another element of the training, it said.
The pilots also trained transportation of troops, armaments and ammunition.
