HAVANA. March 2 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev was received by Cuba's President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel and Cuban Revolution leader Raul Castro in Havana on Wednesday.
The parties discussed different options for further deepening relations between Russia and Cuba, the press service for the Russian Security Council said.
They also addressed in detail the strategic priorities of Russia-Cuba cooperation and international problems.
The Russian Security Council's press service said yesterday that Patrushev would hold expanded Russia-Cuba interdepartmental consultations on security during his visit to Cuba.
On February 28, Patrushev arrived in Venezuela, where he held bilateral security consultations and met with the country's President Nicolas Maduro.
During his visit to Venezuela, Patrushev spoke about U.S. pressure on Russia's partners.
On February 27, Patrushev visited Algeria, where he met with the country's political and military leadership.
