One killed, one injured in Ukrainian attack on border village in Russia's Kursk region - governor

VORONEZH. March 2 (Interfax) - Kursk region Governor Roman Starovoit has reported one fatality in a Ukrainian attack on Tetkino.

"Two men were injured in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on the town of Tetkino. Unfortunately, one of them died before the ambulance arrived. My deepest condolences to the family and friends," Starovoit said on Telegram on Thursday.

The other man was hospitalized in fair condition and given emergency aid, he said.

"In all, five hits have been registered. According to the preliminary information, three homes were damaged by shell fragments. All will be clear after the homes are examined one after another," Starovoit said.

The attack disrupted power supply to the town, he said.
